THE GRANITE WINE COOLER

Every single winecooler is handmade, created from a select piece of granite, carefully crafted to maintain the special character of the stone. The upper edge and protruding parts are polished to a silky finish and the winecooler now shows a unique pattern alternating between raw and gently smooth.

The granite winecooler is sealed with a cork stopper in the bottom and is available in two different types of granite: Black and red.

Directions for use:
The winecooler needs no extra insulation as the granite * itself is highly insulating.

A special effect is obtained if the winecooler is left
in the freezer for a couple of hours before use.
When the winecooler is placed on the table directly from the freezer it will be covered in frost, which will begin to thaw gradually and a fascinating contrast between the frozen and the thawed granite appears.

White wine/Champagne will keep a temperature of 7-9° C. for approximately 3 hours, when the winecooler has been frozen for a couple of hours.

When the stone has been frozen it will release a small amount of condensation. Therefore we recommend you place it on a tray or plate, preferably made of brass, copper or silver to provide a nice reflection in the polished surface.

Tip: The winecooler is also ideal for red/wine when the room temperature is higher than the desired temperature of the wine. Place the wine and the cooler in an environment with the right temparature well before enjoying the meal. When the wine and the cooler is then placed on the table the granite will provide a stable temperature for hours.

Tip: During the summer when having a garden party you will often find it difficult to keep the white wines at a correct temperature. The frozen granite cooler is the ultimate solution to this problem.

Tip: When not in use the cooler will still be a decorative element in your home. It is a little objet d'Art.

Tip: With an inner vase of granite you will have a very different and attractive vase.
