Throughout thousands of years granite has been the preferred material, when man has created durable buildings and monuments. Granite was formed in a wealth of colours and patterns millions of years ago and is natures own work of art. On lawn cemeteries the vase is lowered into the ground just proud of the surface to enable a lawn mover to pass unhindered over it. On several cemeteries the stone vase is delivered as part of a parcel when a burial plot is sold. Often the vase is delivered together with matching paving stones. On larger memorial plots two or more vases are often placed.  |
